Coffe is delicious, right?

Maybe you fancy some hot tea?  Iced tea?

Oh, you simply like ice water to be cold…or you like hot water to stay hot?

Well, the Klean Kanteen Insulated Water Bottle is an awesome answer.  Made of incredibly safe 18/8 Food Safe Stainless Steel, you can switch from hot to cold beverages in no time.  The 18/8 steel doesn’t retain any flavors or stains, allowing you to switch from coffee to tea, or water, really anything you wish to keep a sustained temperature throughout the day.

The Klean Kanteen website states that their insulated bottles will keep hot drinks hot up to 6 hours, and cold drinks cold for 24 hours.  This seems to be an incredible claim given that the insulation is simply a vacuum seal between the double layers of stainless steel, but put some coffee in there and try, just try to drink it in the next hour…it’s too hot!

The loop top lid that comes standard with the bottle provides a great seal, though do be careful with hot liquids in the bottle as on rare occasions I’ve had some liquid drip from the lid when taking it off.

Their insulated bottle has a wide mouth opening at the top, making it simple to fill with liquid good-ness.  If you’re the type of person that likes accessories, Just{elation} would easily suggest that you add a Klean Kanteen Café Cap and/or a GSI Outdoors H2JO! Percolator if you’re a coffee or tea lover!

There are several color options to accompany your 12oz, 16oz, or 20oz bottle, personally I’ve stuck with the standard issue brushed stainless steel look!  With the growing issues surrounding plastic bottles and your health, glass and stainless steel are quickly becoming the beverage container of choice for most health professionals.  Also to note is that dropping the bottle will indeed dent it, not that it effects the performance, but it’s always good to know!

Update: Today (March 8, 2013) I made coffee using both the Klean Kanteen Insulated Bottle and a GSI Outdoors H2JO! Percolator at 10:30am.  I forgot it in my car all day until I got back at 6:30pm.  While I was tired and grumpy all day at work…ok, so it was my backup “pot” of coffee…I’d never survive without ANY coffee..I was indeed pleased on my way home from work having a surprisingly HOT bottle of coffee!  It was a balmy 40ish degrees outside, sunny, but still, I’m fairly impressed as of today!  Get one!

  1. [...] Brewing your own takes a few minutes, but let’s admit it…it’s the best!  Especially when you’re using a Chemex Classic Glass Coffeemaker.  What I consider the king of fancy pour over coffee makers!  With their simple filters, you can easily brew the perfect cup of coffee (or in this case, 3 cups) by simply adding coffee grounds (a tablespoon for each cup…ish), and slowly pouring hot water over it.  You’ll find that the coffee has a smooth clean taste.  Simply toss the filter away (compost it?) and pour your incredible coffee into a preheated mug…or the Klean Kanteen Insulated Bottle!
