Mountain Hardwear Beemer Jacket

What do you want in a good softshell jacket?

Wind Resistent?
Water Resistant?

Well, welcome to the Mountain Hardwear Beemer Jacket!  A softshell jacket with incredible quality shown in the seams and stitching details no matter where you look.  Mountain Hardwear has used YKK Metaluxe Vislon zippers, which shows their commitment to quality.  The Vislon Metaluxe zippers are an exposed plastic zipper with a metal look, are simple to slide, and have nothing to get caught up on.

The inside pocket does however leave a little to be desired…it’s simply a tad bit too small.  A Samsung Galaxy S2 phone won’t fit inside it, leaving it a perfect place for an iPod Touch or smaller device.  There is an opening for headphone cords if you do have something tucked away in there.  The chest pocket, neatly tucked hidden away under the discrete Mountain Hardwear logo is generously sized, and does fit a Samsung Galaxy S2 phone, though lacks the opening for a headphone cord…though that’s not important if you’ve got bluetooth headphones

Sizing on this jacket is pretty true to size.  While the Mountain Hardwear jackets sometimes tend to run a bit big, the beemer runs close to your normal shirt size.  Weighing in 1lb 6oz (624g) you’re barely going to notice it while you’re wearing it…or if you’ve stuffed it into the bottom of your backpack…either way you’re going to love it.

More updates are coming as the Beemer gets used more in the coming months!  Stay Tuned!
